Children and Family Ministry
Nurturing Kids to Growth in Grace

Martin Methodist’s Children’s Department is honored to have the opportunity to minister to you and your family. It is our goal to provide a variety of opportunities for Christian growth and nurture to take place, all supported by a committed and involved faith community. We strive to do this by supporting all aspects of spiritual development, family life, and Christian Education.

In order to promote the faith development of all children, we provide dynamic programs for children of all ages and surround them with loving support in a safe environment. Furthermore, we believe your child is a special gift from God, and we want all children to feel at home and a part of our programs through the people and activities that God has placed in this ministry.

Sunday School

Join us as we learn about God and the awesome ways we can be confident in our faith! Sunday School is offered for ages 3 to 6th grade each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Tom Vastine Education Building.

Childcare provide for our littlest attendees during the Sunday School hour and during all Sunday worship services. Our childcare workers, like all staff and volunteers in Children and Youth Ministries, go through MinistrySafe training and background checks. (See more below).

Jesus and Me meets every Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. We eat lunch together, study the Bible, and play lots of games!

                          Club 3456

Kids in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade meet once a month to plan and do mission work together to serve those in                                           our community! This month: We're collecting socks in all sizes to donate to residents at the Presbyterian Night                                           Shelter.

Family Events

Throughout the year, there are many events planned for families to worship, learn, and have fun together!

All staff members and volunteers that work with children, youth, and vulnerable adults have taken MinistrySafe, an abuse prevention course, and have been screened, which includes an application, interview, reference check, and a  criminal background check. If you are interested in beginning the process to work with children or youth in our congregation, please contact                                     (Director of Youth Ministries) or                            (Director of Children's Ministries).
